Well, rare for us any way. A very pale or white Hyacinth orchid. Can anyone help me out here with a name?

           Despite the hot, dry weather the wildflowers are better than they have been for the last two years or so. The paperbark down Cannon Creek are fantastic which makes for a nice walk. The highlight though is the Yellow Hyacinth or Yellow Tiger Orchid (Dipodium hamiltonianum).  This is only the second one of these we have found on the property. I was clearing some wild rosemary up at the St Bernard Rock Picnic area when I uncovered this rare find. Made my day! |
