The Soul Cabin is nestled among granite boulders, banksia trees and bushland. Blessed with its own Angel Wings Labyrinth and situated alongside the Tree of Life Spiritual Walk, this a peaceful place for all wandering souls to find rest.

Architecturally Designed

The Soul Cabin is architecturally designed to make the most of the Granite Belt environment. It is the twin of the Earth Cabin with a few design changes to highlight the theme of the Soul as compared to the Earth. The walls have a little bit of colour added - white for the lightness of the soul, red for the earth.

Natural heating

The thick rammed earth walls keep the cabin insulated so you stay cool in summer and toasty and warm in winter. There is no need for air conditioning as the building regulates the temperature for you.

The wrap around windows ensure the sun warms up the earth and the baker’s oven adds an extra layer of warmth and coziness in winter. Blinds and louver windows are also available to cool the cabin down should you need some fresh air in the warmer months.

Bringing nature indoors

Nestled amongst granite boulders and old banksia trees the Soul Cabin is embraced by the country landscape. Wherever you are you feel the warmth and spirit of the Granite Belt bushland.

Wake up to the morning sun and be captivated by the kangaroos feeding in the grass pasture as you sip your coffee on the deck. Enjoy the shifting shadows of the old banksia tree as you prepare meals and watch the birdlife enjoy the natural gardens surrounding the cabin as you relax under the rain shower.

Harnessing sustainable energy

There are no power lines anywhere on the Earth & Soul property. The closest grid connection is almost 2 kilometers away. The restorative properties of our retreat are enhanced with no light or sound pollution.

When you stay with us, you will get to experience living off-grid on a stand-alone solar powered energy system. We have a 2.97kW solar array with 5.88 kWh battery system - meaning the system will generate plenty of energy for your stay - on average 13 kWh a day.

The fully equipped kitchen has everything that you will need:

A selection of teas, coffee and other condiments are included to ensure you have everything you need for your stay.

Spacious bedroom

The luxurious king bed is perched within a spacious bedroom nook complete with an adjoining ensuite bathroom that includes a freestanding vanity and a discreetly positioned toilet to maintain privacy.

This nook is raised to overlook the native gardens of the private Angel Wings Labyrinth and makes the most of the open plan design of the cabin. You’ll often awake to friendly kangaroos feeding just outside your window.

Cozy loungeroom

The lounge is designed as the perfect place to curl up with a good book in front of the fire place. The room features:
  • leather electric 3 seater couch
  • baker’s oven to keep you warm
  • ingenious woodbox that can be filled from outdoors
  • TV with DVDs​

Rain shower with a view

Recharge under the rain shower which is sure to provide an indulgent escape overlooking the beautiful gardens and bushland that surrounds the cabin. Enjoy the soft, steady flow of freshly collected rain water and let the world fade away.

BBQ and Outdoor dining

The cabin wraps around the firepit off the deck making it a beautiful focal point. Enjoy the crackle of the campfire as you cook s’mores using the kits provided. You can also fire up the Weber Baby Q to get the perfectly grilled meal and enjoy eating outdoors. The Soul Cabin features a larger deck area with multiple seating options for outdoor dining.

Outdoor Stone Bath

A luxurious stone bath is tucked in between the granite boulders on the deck begging you to unwind. Rest your glass of wine or hot chocolate on the side tables as you soak. Snuggle up in the soft robes provided for you to dry off afterwards. With a view of the starry night sky, it is pure heaven.

Angel Wings Labyrinth

The theme of the Soul Cabin is enhanced with a private garden feature, the Angel Wings Labyrinth designed by Mark Healy of the Labyrinth Collective. The Labyrinth is designed for personal introspection, meditation and contemplation. It has a granite seat in the middle which is perfect for resting amongst the flowers and taking in the vista of the Soul Cabin and surrounding bushland.

Tree of Life Spiritual Walk

The Soul Cabin is also situated alongside the Tree of Life Spiritual Walk. This is a quiet, open space based upon a model of the creation of the universe, energy, the soul and life. Natural granite rocks are arranged to represent the Kabbalah’ s Tree of Life and the Tarot’s Major Arcana label each path. This is a beautiful place to just be, walk in the fresh air and appreciate the natural surrounds.
